Figari – Sud Corse Airport (FSC) is the airport serving the southernmost part of the French island of Corsica. Corsica is the fourth largest island in the Mediterranean Sea. It is located southeast of the French mainland and west of the northern part of the Italian peninsula.

The east coast town of Porto-Vecchio is located approximately 22 km/13.7 mi northeast of the airport, and the town of Bonifacio is located south, and slightly, east of it. The airport’s English name is Figari South Corsica Airport.

Airport Shuttle Buses – An airport shuttle bus is available for transfer to Porto-Vecchio bus station. The bus station is located just north of the city’s yacht harbor. The timetables are changed each month depending on the season with fewer departures during the winter season than during the summer season. The fare for a single journey is 4€. There are other bus routes available from the bus station, although the timetables might not match up for a direct transfer from one route to another. There are also beach buses available at the bus station for those that want to go from the city to one of the beaches outside of it. Fares are calculated through a zone system.

Taxis – Taxis can be found outside the arrivals area of the terminal building on a first come, first served basis. Taxis can also be pre-booked in which case the driver usually meets the traveler inside the terminal. The fare to Porto-Vecchio is around 65€ and the travel time is 30 minutes. Hotel Shuttles – Hotel shuttles are transfers organized by hotels and other accommodations. These are sometimes offered to the guests free of charge, but usually there is an additional charge for the service.

Private Transfers – It is possible to organize a private transfer from or to the airport via one of the transfer companies that offer their services to the airport’s visitors. These transfers are requested by the traveler or their representative.

Other Corsican Travel Options

Trains – Most islands don’t have a railway network, but Corsica does. It does however not reach all the way down to the southern parts of the island. It stretches through the island's northern island, through mountains and plains, and it offers stunning views of the Mediterranean Seas as well. The closest train station is Ajaccio located a 2-3 hour drive from the airport. From Ajaccio the train goes to Bastia on the northeast coast, and it is possible to change trains in Ponte Leccia to the other train line, there are only two lines on the island, and go to Calvi on the northwest coast. Ferries – It is possible to travel by ferry from the southern parts of Corsica to a few locations on the French mainland as well as to a few locations on the Italian island of Sardinia located just south of Corsica. It is also possible to travel to locations on the Italian peninsula as well as the Italian island of Elba from other locations on Corsica. The island does not offer any inter-island ferry routes.
